To strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese literature, on September 12, Xiuhe Community, Shiliulihe Street, Shizhong District, Jinan City, united with Sino-Thai Securities Investment Education Base and Shandong University of Finance and Economics School of International Education to carry out the Mid-Autumn Festival theme activity. Residents and foreign students are invited to make lanterns to feel the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere.
Before the activity began, the volunteers first introduced the culture, history and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and then patiently shared their experience in making traditional lanterns from the aspects of the selection of lantern materials, the details of the paste, and the adjustment of the paste process, fully demonstrating the unique charm of the combination of ingenuity and traditional Chinese culture. After getting familiar with the production method, everyone began to make lanterns methodically, helping each other when they encountered difficulties in the production process, and the scene was harmonious and full of fun. In a short time, delicate and lovely Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns were completed.
Through this activity, residents and international youth experienced the folk customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and felt the essence of the charm of traditional culture on the spot.
